Biofarma plagiarism policy

Manuscripts submitted to this journal will go through procedures to investigate possible plagiarism, before being sent for blind peer review.

Ciência Plural seeks to fulfill the criteria of originality of the published works and information on the sources of the ideas presented. Thus:

It makes a first analysis of the submitted material using an anti-plagiarism program;
If irregularities are found, the author will be contacted to make the necessary changes and to resubmit the manuscript;
If the irregularity persists, the editors reserve the right to refuse the paper for possible publication.
If there is proof of any type of plagiarism of an already published text, the Journal reserves the right to remove the text from the system.

There are 3 steps to publication: 

1 - Articles go through an initial evaluation by the journal editor. This is the first scrutiny the article goes through.

2 - Peer Review, or peer review, is a fundamental concept in scientific publishing.

It needs to be of interest to Biofarma according to a public call.

3 - The article is published when it already incorporates the Peer Review changes and its final version is produced and published by the journal.

From 01/01/2023, a SUBMISSION FEE will be charged for new articles in the amount of $ 50.00 per author. (Para a América do Sul o valor deve ser convertido para R$ 50 em Real Brasileiro)

Ex: The article has 3 authors.

Author 1: $50,00

Author 2: $50,00

Author 3: $50,00

Total to be paid: $ 150,00

Note: There will be no refund in case the article is rejected.

Payment must be made by PIX, in the total amount of the fee.  Payment by PIX or Paypal

IMPORTANT: The main author must attach the payment receipt to the system in PDF file on the submission page, click "add another file" -> article components -> select "Payment Submission Fee".  Note: Articles that do not have the proof of payment as a supplementary document will be archived.

ATTENTION: In cases of articles with more than 1 author, the payment proof document must be unique, either by single payment or by creating a single PDF document containing the payment proofs of each author, the total sum of this document must be equivalent to the number of authors of the article.

The articles ACCEPTED for publication in BIOFARMA Journal that will compose the regular and special issues to be published from January/2023, will pay a unique PUBLICATION FEE of $ 50,00 per article after the final approval communication (regardless of the number of pages).
